Ms. Lina is the Founder and Senior Instructor of Nawang English, with over 15 years of teaching experience for Indonesian students across the country and Japanese learners based in Bali or studying online. She has guided learners from diverse backgrounds in mastering English for academic, professional, and creative communication. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in English Literature and a Master’s degree in Applied Linguistics (Translation Studies) from Udayana University, Bali. Her academic journey also includes a language and culture training program at the University of Kansas in the United States, the internationally recognized CertTESOL teaching certification from Trinity College London and IALF Bali, and legal translation training at LBI, University of Indonesia.

Ms. Lina also served as a Pengajar Muda with Indonesia Mengajar, where she spent a year teaching elementary students in Majene, West Sulawesi, while leading community-based education programs. Her passion for education and development later brought her to Maratua Island, where she mentored youth in developing sustainable tourism businesses through English learning. In Lamakera, East Nusa Tenggara, she taught middle school students about marine mammals and ocean conservation, integrating environmental education with meaningful English instruction. In addition to teaching English, Ms. Lina also teaches Bahasa Indonesia to foreign speakers (BIPA), and works as a translator and literary writer, with published work featured on various platforms. Her empathetic, creative, and structured teaching style reflects the founding vision of Nawang English: a learning space that is personal, purposeful, and empowering for every student.
